Does anyone remember liberty time on this cruise when Smoky Miller ( gunners mate 3rd class) bite off the ear of of another sailor in a fight? Does anyone remember the lost control FTG 3 David Scott (Scotty) out of his mind on wood grain alcohol poison returning to the ship strapped to a stretcher? I remember Smoky bitting off the ear. We were on the liberty launch when the fight broke out. If I recall correctly the man without the ear was an ET from the Turner Joy.
